Tin Baths and Rabbit Pie
In early 2007, the Museum worked with Suffolk Artlink on a reminiscence and mini museum project.
Running over six weeks, the project was led by Lisa Harris—Collections Manager and Julie Heathcote—Reminiscence and local historian. Big screen images and museum objects were used to encourage residents to draw on memories that they could share. As the weeks went by and levels of trust increased, the stories came thick and fast, followed by the objects! While Julie recorded memories for a small booklet, Lisa helped residents choose objects for a mini Museum display case, temporarily placed in Weston Court's communal area.
The final week of the project involved a lively session with the East Anglian Traditional Music Trust.
